• The top ten basic essentials for your trip to Heidelberg • (in no particular order)
1. Kamera (Camera)
Be sure to bring your camera on your trip to Germany - you don't want to miss out on some incredible snaps!
2. Rucksack (Backpack)
You'll definitely need a backpack to put your stuff in for day trips and tours.
3. Warmer Mantel (Warm Coat)
Make sure to bring multiple warm, thick, waterproof jackets for your trip to Germany as the weather can change in a blink!
4. Lange Hosen (Long Pants)
Make sure you bring 2-3 pairs of long pants (preferably jeans), it will get cold and you want to keep your legs warm!
5. Pflegeprodukte (Toiletries)
You'll want to have a toiletry bag with all of the essentials including; toothbrush, toothpaste, lip balm, hairbrush, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser, face wash, washer, soap, etc.
6. Langes Sleve Hemd & Kurzarm-Shirt (Long sleeve & short sleeve shirts)
You'll need to bring around 8-10 long sleeve and short sleeve shirts as you'll be wearing them everyday. You could also pack a singlet top to wear under a shirt if its cold (optional).
7. Winter-Zubehör (Winter accessories)
Not a necessity, but definitely helpful to have a pair of gloves, a scarf and/or a beanie handy.
8. Schuhe (Shoes)
Its extremely handy to bring multiple pairs of shoes as they will get wet and dirty. I recommend bringing a pair of shoes that you don't care about (for getting wet), running shoes (for hikes/walks), comfortable shoes (you'll be on your feet all day). In other words; leave your uncomfortable, expensive, high-heels at home.
9. Socken und Unterwäsche (socks and undies)
As obvious as it sounds so many people still forget to pack the correct amount of socks and undies! You'll need at least 14 of each!
10. Telefon und Kopfhörer (Phone and headphones)
3 words for you; long plane trip. It's always handy to have your phone and some headphones to listen to music or play games as a bit of entertainment on your trip.
